Our collective future begins with conscientious, efficient and effective handling of products throughout their lifecycle. While on the surface, many materials may appear to be past their prime, Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) recognizes their inherent potential.

This report showcases how we are collaboratively unlocking opportunities, enhancing the value chain, and giving new purpose to resources that would otherwise be discarded as waste.

Since its inception, ARMA has been focused on adding value and enhancing quality. In addition to preserving and protecting existing recycling systems, we have steadily been helping to grow innovative Alberta-based programs that not only solve local challenges but also have an impressive global reach.

While there are many avenues for a meaningful difference in the realm of recycling, our attention is focused on electronics, paint, tires and used oil. These materials warrant special attention as they are difficult to dispose of and can be hazardous to the environment.

The information contained within this report provides further insight into our role across the province along with the impressive achievements of our partners and service providers. We are truly fortunate to have the resources and support of our provincial government, municipalities, Indigenous communities, businesses, and Albertans.
